  • Business Process Consultant

    Responsibilities:

    iPower is seeking a full-time Process Consultant to join our expanding service delivery team! You will directly support iPower's client engagements/projects by providing project management support, process writing, compliance audits, and mentoring based on a range of standards and models.

    In this role, you will be part of a matrixed team working with and reporting to iPower's Program Management Office (PMO), which currently includes multiple certified CMMI Lead Appraisers; a certified CMMI Instructor; certified Lead Auditors for ISO 9001, ISO 20000, and ISO 27001; and multiple certified CMMC Assessors.

    This work includes frequent interaction and consulting with iPower clients and working as part of a team to deliver process excellence and superior customer service. Experience with CMMI and ISO 9001 is required, with the interest and aptitude to learn others. We are looking for someone who is hard working, motivated, and focused on customer satisfaction to join our dynamic team.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Supporting iPower's consulting engagements/projects under the direction of the PMO:
    • Assisting with Gap Analyses/Risk Assessments against ISO and CMMI standards to assess our clients' compliance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Creating and peer reviewing client deliverables (e.g., organizational policies, organizational standard/repeatable processes, SOPs, templates, tracking lists/logs, etc.) and key internal work products.
    • Providing consulting and implementation support to clients, including coaching, mentoring, facilitated work sessions, etc.
    • Supporting client meetings by drafting agendas and capturing meeting minutes.
    • Helping iPower clients prepare for formal ISO audits and CMMI appraisals (e.g., help to gather and map evidence, develop opening briefing materials, conduct mock interviews and dry-runs, assist with planning and coordination, etc.).
    • Conducting internal ISO audits on behalf of clients and participating as a CMMI Appraisal Team Member for clients' Benchmark and Sustainment Appraisals.
    • Helping to track and report progress and status, including drafting Monthly Status Reports for each client and reporting in weekly PMO meetings.
    • Assisting with monitoring and controlling operations and maintaining iPower's internal compliance for ISO certifications and CMMI Maturity Level 3:
    • Serving as a member of the iPower Process Group and helping to identify, implement, and track improvements and lessons learned.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Requires BS Degree from an accredited college or university in business, computer science, mathematics, engineering or equivalent.
    • Must have at least 3 years' experience performing similar consulting work.
    • Must have prior experience with CMMI and ISO 9001 with the desire and ability to quickly learn all other standards/models.
    • Requires outstanding interpersonal skills as well as excellent written and verbal communications.
    • Must understand systems/software development lifecycles and service delivery lifecycles.
    • Must be willing and able to work both independently and as a part of a team.
    • Must be capable of producing tangible, high-quality work products and meeting schedule deadlines.
    • Must be well organized, self-motivated, and detail oriented.
    • Requires proficiency in Microsoft apps including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, etc.
    • Willingness to travel occasionally if needed for business.
    • Must be able to pass a background check.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Certifications in ISO (e.g., Internal Auditor), CMMI (e.g., CMMI Associate or Professional), and/or Quality preferred but not required.
    • Prior client-facing consulting experience.
